The ASN Neurological Surveillance of COVID-19 study was completed following the collection of data covering a period of 1 year.
The ASN GBS Study commenced in July 2022, with the objective of determining the clinical characteristics, subtypes and clinical outcomes of patients with Guillain-Barre Syndrome in Sri Lanka. 43 Co-Investigators from 20 sites have participated and data collection has been completed over a period of 2 years in hospitals with local approval. Follow up is ongoing.
The Director General of Health Services, Ministry of Health has approved the study as a multi-centre study in Sri Lanka.
The ASN is participating in the Global Parkinson’s Genetics Program (GP2), an international collaborative study which is investigating the genetic basis of Parkinson’s Disease.
